The test
In psychology, the «Big Five» refers to a personality model made up of five main traits.
This concept was proposed in 1981 by an American analyst named Lewis Goldberg, and was then extended by Costa and McCrae from 1987 to 1992.
This text discusses the use of this model to study hypothetical identity and create profiles for numerous individuals.
In a number of analyses, comparisons can be made between the Big Five test measures and various aspects of behaviour:
Doing your job honestly is important, regardless of the type of work or how it is assessed.
Personality disorders: The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders has ten different categories, and each category presents a profile similar to the five major traits (these profiles often have high levels of anxiety or preoccupation and low levels of happiness or enjoyment).
Lifestyle habits are the things we do on a regular basis that have an impact on our overall lifestyle.
The Big Five are closely interlinked. Evaluating someone on the basis of all these categories is excessive.
In the 2010s, there was a rule called the “Cinco Enormes” that SCL Group used for military and political purposes. (It is not clear from the original text what the “Cinco Enormes” rule means or is intended to achieve, so it has remained unchanged. Simplifications have been made to the structure and wording of the sentences).
Later, its affiliated companies, Cambridge Analytica and Total IQ, used it for political purposes.
Many companies and organisations around the world attach great importance to this assessment and place their trust in it.
